This collection represents something different for me because Recco isn’t simply a place I’ve travelled to with a camera. It has been home since 2023. I first came here while searching for somewhere to begin the next chapter of our lives, and not long after, we packed up twelve years in Florence and moved to the Ligurian coast.

Since then, photographing Recco has become part of living here. Some of these images come from ordinary walks through town, details I’ve passed dozens of times, changing light along the coast, and wider views from the hills above us. Others capture the things that make Recco feel distinctly like Recco – surfers waiting for the right wave, people filling the streets, and the enormous spectacle of the Sagra del Fuoco when, for a few days every September, the town seems to explode with fire, color, sound, and life.

There are 68 works in this collection, but together they aren’t meant to be a complete documentation of the town. They are my experience of it. The familiar corners that still make me stop, moments happening just outside our door, and perspectives that slowly became more meaningful because I wasn’t seeing them for the first time. I was seeing them as someone who lives here.

Each photograph in this collection is available as a museum-quality fine art print. Printed with archival pigment on carefully selected paper, these works are built to last. The textures hold up. The tones stay clean. These are pieces meant to live in homes and spaces that appreciate something grounded and real.

What I tried to capture here is more than what Recco looks like from the outside. It’s the Recco I’ve come to know by living in it – sometimes quiet, sometimes wonderfully chaotic, surrounded by hills and the Ligurian Sea, and now forever connected to a chapter of my own life.
