Introducing: Travel Portraits

There’s something that changes when a person enters the frame.

For most of my time in Italy, my work has been built around place – the architecture, the light, the texture of a city at six in the morning, or the hour before a storm. That work isn’t changing. But I’ve been thinking for a while about what gets left out when the frame contains no one. A piazza without a face. A doorway without a body filling it. A city that looks beautiful but feels uninhabited.

Travel portraits fix that. A single human presence in the right place, at the right moment, can do more to communicate what a city actually feels like than any composition of stone and light alone.

So I’ve built a page for it.

The Travel Portraits page is where I’m now formally connecting with people who want to be part of that kind of work – either as a commissioned project with a specific vision and timeline or as a creative collaboration where you become part of the story I’m already in the process of telling. The two paths are different in structure but the same in intention: to create portraits that are inseparable from the place they were made in.
