I’ve been placing my work in hotels, restaurants, offices, and hospitality venues for years. Exhibitions, direct acquisitions, full installations from first conversation through to hanging day. That side of the practice has grown steadily, and the Fine Art for Businesses page is where it now lives properly.

For years, my primary Instagram account at @scottallenwilson has been built around the trips themselves -sequential series from each city, the insights and anecdotes behind specific shots, the b-roll, the stories that frame why a particular image exists. It’s a working travel photographer’s feed. Photograflâneur in practice. That account is not going anywhere, and the way it tells stories is not changing.

The shop has always been the place to buy the work. But browsing a catalog of 480-plus prints across fourteen cities isn’t the same as actually understanding the work – where it came from, what the place felt like, why a particular image exists.

For most of my time in Italy, my work has been built around place – the architecture, the light, the texture of a city at six in the morning or the hour before a storm. That work isn’t changing. But I’ve been thinking for a while about what gets left out when the frame contains no one. A piazza without a face. A doorway without a body filling it. A city that looks beautiful but feels uninhabited.

The charities page has been part of the site for a while. Fifteen percent of every fine art sale goes to one of eight organizations – chosen for their transparency, their track record, and the causes they represent. That part hasn’t changed.

Over the past couple of months, incrementally, I’ve been converting it into a proper studio. Most of the equipment was already there – it was the last few pieces that finally brought it all together. Designed background set, professional lighting, cameras mounted for front, side, and top-down angles, proper sound treatment. It’s built to stay set up and ready, which means the barrier between having an idea and actually making something is now significantly lower.
