Amazing photo overlooking Florence, Italy taken from Piazzale Michelangelo by Photographer and digital artist Scott Allen Wilson. In the centre, Cattedrale di Santa María del Fiore stands out and is the protagonist to the sea of terracotta buildings that form the historical centre of Florence. Due to the warm colours of the city in contrast to the cool colours of the hills, this piece is perfect to brighten up any environment. The print has been realized on glossy Fuji Crystal Archive paper, and mounted beneath acrylic glass. The mounted print is surrounded by a beautiful solid wood frame. Every element of this piece was individually selected with intention as being a part of a unified piece of art.

Honestly, what more reason do you really need?

I moved to Florence, Italy in 2012.

Seeing this photograph – Can you really blame me?

If you wanted to mount this piece on your wall,

I certainly wouldn’t blame you either.

“The Reason” is the perfect photo for us. We were fortunate to live in Florence for a short while and the architecture and the Duomo played a big part in our choosing Florence and Italy as our home. It is a place we long to get back to as much as possible. Since travel ceased in a pandemic-ridden world, we found this piece to be perfect to remember our old home and know travel would resume someday. Thank you, Scott, for capturing this photo. It has found a prominent place in our home and until we get back to Florence, we’ll look at it and cherish the memories. The quality of the photo, frame, and packaging was excellent.
