This past Saturday I attended the third edition of Civ…ediamo a Recco che sfila 2025, a local runway event that puts the spotlight on the creative talents of small businesses right here in Recco, Italy.
Since moving to Recco, one of the things that has impressed me the most are these kinds of events that happen here in such a small town. Recco may be a small town, but these events they put on some time really are something else. People of all ages showed up in big ways- whether walking the runway, clapping in the crowd, or dancing on stage.
This year’s show featured around 40 local businesses. From clothing shops and hairstylists- to dancers, makeup artists, and jewelry makers- everyone came together to create something really special.
Several performances even included choreographed dance routines which gave the whole night a fun, lively, and honestly unexpected energy. For a small seaside town, it felt big and I certainly didn’t miss it.
During the ceremony, both the Mayor and Alice Agostacchio, President of CIV Online, presented awards to long-standing local businesses. Places that were locally famous that had been around for decades. The mayor called it “a showcase of the quality and creativity that characterize the trade and craftsmanship from Recco.”
It was, without question, a highly positive, fun, inclusive, and entertaining event. I arrived just after the start, and eventually found my way towards the front of the crowd in the standing area near the end of the runway. I brought my Canon R5 Mk II with me, coupled with my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 MK III, as well as my Canon 5D MK IV, coupled with my Canon 85mm f/1.2 MK II ( Just in case I needed a few extra stops of light )
I put this blog post together to hopefully continue to shine the spotlight onto some of these amazing local businesses here in the town we now call home, as well as to have a spot to share the photo highlights that I captured from the event ( Photos are at the bottom of this page ).
I’ve done my best to be as accurate as possible with the information shared below, and I shared information for as many of the businesses that I could immediately find details for. If you’re a local business owner that participated in this event, and don’t see yourself featured here, or if your details are incorrect- feel free to reach out to me at and we’ll get it updated right away: [email protected].

There were obviously many more people involved in making this runway happen, but I couldn’t possibly list them all ;D
The runway show truly felt like a living collective map of Recco. It was great to see some brands and people that I recognized on the stage, and I also loved that I was introduced to some new shops and faces that I never knew before. There were definitely a lot of very fun people just having a great time, and making the best of the entertaining evening.
To me, Civ…ediamo a Recco che sfila showcases the craftsmanship that Italy specializes in. The magic wasn’t the fashion itself; it was watching this town step forward together, in collaborative spirit, intentionally.
