This panoramic view of Venice makes you want to travel immediately. The floating city, dressed in the warm reddish and pastel colors of renaissance can easily decorate any modern or classic space. The water in the background surrounds the buildings, and converges into a grand canal that breaks through the city. This overview captured by Photographer and Digital Artist, Scott Allen Wilson, allows us to see Venice as if it were a 3D map. Scattered throughout the image stand out the main churches and bell towers like the Duomo di San Marcos and San Giorgio, surrounded by buildings that take up all the space of the photo. This print has been realized on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl paper, and mounted with a natural white passe-partout. It is displayed underneath a matte float glass, and surrounded by a beautiful ebony solid wood frame. Nothing makes me want to travel more than a fantasy landscape like this one.

Thoughts and Ponderings about The Pathway

I saw a post recently that really made me think. It was a post titled ‘Secrets about guys that girls don’t know’, and the post said “The average guy is so starved of positive attention that a simple compliment is enough to get him interested in you.” This really resonated with me, and really made me pretty sad to think about it, as it’s just another reminder of an imbalance that exists in our society. Guys need just as much support and words of affirmation as women do, and I feel like guys are told they don’t need it, that complimenting and supporting other guys isn’t necessary because guys are strong, or could come off as weak or too feminine.
Women have support groups, celebrate each other, empower each other, and support each other in so many meaningful ways. For a guy that’s friends with mostly women, it’s a wonderful and sometimes distressing situation.
Ladies, please just go and try to lift someone else up- hopefully a man, and a woman, by giving them a simple compliment- you never know how much they may have needed it.
Guys- Don’t be afraid to compliment your guy friends, and your friends that are girls. We need to support each other, lift each other up, and empower each other. We need to show the world that guys need just as much love as women do, and we should be okay with showing emotions and expressing ourselves. We should feel okay to ask for help, and to celebrate who we are. ✌🏻🙏🏻
