Trento is one of those cities that I visited as a part of my year-long adventure in trying to find a place for my wife and I to move to after we got married and wanted to start a family. I remember the first time I saw the Colosseum. I had already been living in Florence for a while, quietly dodging the guilt of not having made it to Rome yet. I was learning Italian, and I was trying to figure out how to build a life here- one that actually worked. Rent, bureaucracy, language all felt like too much. I needed a break, so I booked a last-minute getaway to Rome.

I didn’t know what I was walking into, but I knew it was going to be something special.

I’ve always had a deep appreciation for black and white photography. Over the years, working professionally, I’ve discovered that, in my experience, shooting in color is often more challenging than capturing a compelling black and white image.
Florence has given me countless unforgettable memories, and recently I found myself revisiting some of them.
